In 1989, designer Helen Saffery introduced a new line of latex clothes called Libidex. She came up with the name “Libidex” to describe it, a portmanteau of “libido” and “latex.” Helen collaborated with rubber fanatic and designer Simon Rose to create a line of gorgeous latex clothing that caught the attention of fetishists and the fashion industry alike.
