Everything You Need to Know About Nonalcoholic Beer

WELCOME TO THE MAGIC

The birth of Magic Rock Brewing in 2011 was the realisation of a long-held dream to create a brewery. Magic Rock Brewing takes its cues from both the rich history of brewing in the United States and the innovative beer community that has emerged there in recent years to create beers with a unique flavour profile.

They take pride in the fact that the beer we brew is the kind of beverage that we would happily drink ourselves and are happy to offer to our friends and neighbours. They offer Magic Rock beers in three different packaging formats—keg, cask, and can—because we know that varied dispensing methods complement certain settings.

We know that you can’t bear wasting your time with boring beer, and we’re in the same boat.

Relax and take a swig of the magic.

What is the point of alcohol-free beer?

For many people, alcohol-free beer is an attractive alternative to traditional beer. Alcohol-free beer contains no more than 0.5% alcohol by volume, making it a safe choice for drivers, pregnant women, and people who are looking to reduce their alcohol intake. In addition, alcohol-free beer is often lower in calories and carbohydrates than regular beer, making it a healthier option for people who are watching their weight.

Furthermore, because alcohol-free beer is produced using the same brewing process as regular beer, it often has a similar taste and texture. As a result, alcohol-free beer can be a refreshing and enjoyable option for people who want to avoid the negative effects of alcohol.

Is Alcohol-free beer healthier for you?

When it comes to beer, there are two main types: those that contain alcohol and those that do not. Alcohol-free beers are often touted as being healthier than their regular counterparts, but is this really the case? First of all, it is important to note that alcohol-free beer still contains calories and carbs, so it is not a good choice for those who are watching their weight. Additionally, alcohol-free beer may contain trace amounts of alcohol. While this amount is generally not enough to cause intoxication, it can still have an adverse effect on those with certain medical conditions.

Finally, some brands of alcohol-free beer use artificial sweeteners to compensate for the lack of alcohol. While these sweeteners are generally considered safe, they may cause digestive issues in some people. In conclusion, there is no definitive answer as to whether or not alcohol-free beer is healthier for you. Ultimately, it depends on your individual preferences and dietary needs.

How Does Nonalcoholic Beer Compare to Regular Beer?

Beer is healthier when the alcohol is removed, but it doesn’t imply you should drink a lot of it. Aside from carbohydrates, the majority of non-alcoholic beers don’t provide much in the way of nutrients (usually on par with regular beer). However, the lack of alcohol does make these drinks healthier in terms of calories: The famous Upside Dawn beer from Athletic Brewing, for instance, contains only 50 calories and 12 grammes of carbohydrates per 12-ounce can. By comparison, there are 145 calories and 10.6 grammes of carbohydrates in a can of Budweiser. (One can of Bud Light has 110 calories and 6.6 grammes of carbohydrates.)

According to Benson, “the beautiful thing about nonalcoholic beers compared to alcoholic beer is that you’ll typically see a Nutrition Facts panel and an ingredient list.” This allows you to make an informed decision about whether or not the beverage is suitable for your needs. Some nonalcoholic beers, for instance, do have extra sugar that you should be aware of. Unfortunately, we rarely have this kind of information available when purchasing alcoholic beverages.

Does Nonalcoholic Beer Have Any Health Risks?

Keep in mind that even “nonalcoholic” beers have alcohol in them. Even if the label claims zero to half a percent alcohol by volume (ABV), you shouldn’t take it at its value. In the past, problems have arisen when alcohol-free beers were found to contain more than the allowed 0.5% alcohol by volume. Six of the beers examined contained up to 1.8 percent alcohol by volume, and a research discovered that 30 percent of the nonalcoholic beers tested had more alcohol by volume than was specified on their label.

Some consumers should be aware that some items contain trace levels of alcohol. Benson says there’s “some dispute” over whether or not pregnant women should drink these drinks.

Individuals coping with substance use disorders may also wish to proceed with caution. Some people in recovery from alcoholism find that the sight, smell, and taste of nonalcoholic beers revives appetites for alcoholic beverages.

Benson argues that people’s personal preferences dictate whether or not they will drink nonalcoholic beers. “Everyone is unique. These drinks may be helpful for some people as they embark on the road to recovery. As a result, it may be traumatic for certain people. What may be a trigger in the beginning of sobriety might become a support later on for many people. The best way to decide if a nonalcoholic beer is right for you is to take stock of yourself.

The Bottom Line on Nonalcoholic Beer

Nonalcoholic beers are a healthier alternative to conventional beers. While these non-alcoholic drinks may be a healthier option, it’s crucial to keep in mind that they still include calories and carbohydrates. Also, like with any food or drink, it’s best to read labels, stay away from products with added sugar, and consume in moderation.

Benson believes that in fitness situations, where alcohol has become pervasive, nonalcoholic beers are an especially good substitute. She warns that normal beer won’t do the trick for rehydration after a 5K. If you want my advice, get yourself a nonalcoholic beer.
